Essential Oils Overview
Started using essential oils yet? If you haven’t, you are missing out on so much. They are beneficial in more ways than you can count, and that’s why more and more people are adding them to their collection of accessories.
Besides adding a sweet and relaxing fragrance to a room, essential oils come with tons of health benefits. Each one has unique healing properties that, when absorbed by the body, boost your most vital body functions naturally.
- For example, oils like lavender, rosemary, peppermint, and lemon are excellent when you need to boost your mental focus on tasks.
- Others like eucalyptus, basil, and black spruce ease fatigue and exhaustion.
- Tea tree, grapefruit, oregano, thyme, and cinnamon fight infections and seasonal threats effectively.
- And in case you are suffering from muscle aches and migraines you can use the healing powers of lavender, eucalyptus, chamomile and rosemary essential oils.
Blends Are Great Too
Those are just a few examples, in total there are well over 100 essential oils. Obviously having 100 essential oil bottles seems like overkill, but you don’t have to buy all of them as single oils.
Most manufacturers combine two or more (up to 10) single oils to make blends. That gives you the benefits of many oils in just one bottle.
The point is to figure a way of getting their healing compounds in your body.
Available in Softgels
As far as that goes you have many exciting options. Nowadays there are edible oils, in the form of softgels, that you can ingest and make the absorption process easier.
Use Oils in a Number Of Ways
Others are not and can only be used topically. Generally, more people prefer to diffuse their topical oils using a diffuser.
However, you can choose to add yours to your bath water and enjoy a relaxing bath or apply topically by rubbing.
Just make sure the oil is diluted appropriately so that you don’t damage your skin.
