What Is It?

Also known as a Cold Air diffuser, this product works by atomizing essential oils and diffusing them into the air. The diffuser has three key components, namely; the base, a nebulizer, and a pump that helps disperse the oil into the air. Various manufacturers use different materials to make their brands. How it Works

The fist key component that makes this nebulizer so effective is a pair of nozzles. The first nozzle goes into the essential oil reservoir and delivers the oil into the nebulizer. The second nozzle is designed to blow compressed air into the nebulizer over the first oil nozzle.

First, a gust of air is blown in through the air tube and over the top of the oil nozzle (The air tube is a bit longer than the oil tube). As the air passes over the oil tube, it lowers air pressure at the top. The oil in the tube rushes up to occupy the vacuum that has been created by the displaced air.

As the oil meets with the pressurized air, it is atomized into micro-particles. The microparticles are then blown into the glass reservoir and then released through the nebulizer cap in the form of mist.

Is the Nebulizer the Best Option for you?

When choosing your diffuser, you’ll notice that there are a few other types available on the market. To figure out which essential oil diffuser is best for you there are few things to keep in mind.

  • What advantages the nebulizer has over others
  • Where you will be using your diffuser
  • What you will be using your diffuser for

Each type of diffuser works in different ways and are best for certain things.

Advantages of a Nebulizing Essential Oil Diffuser

The unique features of a nebulizing diffuser offer many benefits that are not always available in other diffuser types.

It Uses Pure Oil

Almost all the other versions of diffusers use a mixer of oil and water. This may be distilled water or tap water.
This is not the case with the nebulizing diffuser. Instead, this product uses pure oil, meaning that it saturates the air very fast. This is especially important for a person who is using the nebulizer for health purposes. You do not want your oil diluted with water, thus having to wait too long before the healing takes place.

It is Longer Lasting

With the absence of water, the need to keep cleaning the diffuser is eliminated. This makes the diffuser more durable. Secondly, the lack of water removes the risk of rust or ruin due to certain qualities of water. This further increases its working lifespan.

Easier to Use

Diffusers that use water create an extra requirement of looking for water and mixing it in the right amount with the essential oil. This is especially time-consuming when the water has to be distilled. Often the tap water in your house can’t be used. This also means that without water, the diffuser cannot be used.

With the nebulizing diffuser, you only need to have your bottle of essential oil, and you are ready to go. Once it’s used up, you only need to pour in a new supply of oil and the diffuser keeps working.

Safe to Use

The absence of heat in diffusing the oil means that you do not need to fear accidental burns when using it. In fact, the nebulizing aroma diffuser can be used in the children’s room without having to worry about anyone getting hurt or anything catching fire.

Doesn’t Change the  Chemical Make Up of the Oils

One of the biggest issues with diffusers that use heat is that they break down the chemical components of essential oils. This means, while they may still produce a nice scent in the house, the therapeutic benefits are often lost.

The nebulizing diffuser saves you from this problem. The pressurized air is all that is required to diffuse the oil into the air without any negative effect or on the oil.

Zero Humidification

Although some people may consider humidification a plus in other diffusers which use water, this feature can be a downside when the air is already humid, like in the wet season.

With the nebulizing diffuser, there is no need to worry about adding more water to the air, since none is used.

Overall Benefits of a Diffuser

The above advantages are in addition to the general benefits that you will get in having a diffuser in the house. These benefits include:

  • Air Purification and Disinfection
Diffusing essential oils into your space is one way of removing pathogens, bacteria, and viruses in the air.
  • Aroma-therapeutic Benefits
With a diffuser at home, you can enjoy the benefits of aromatherapy, which would otherwise be found only in a spa.
  • Health Benefits
Essential oils have health benefits including reducing stress, anxiety, fatigue, asthma, cold, flu, and mood elevation, among many other gains.
  • Safer Than Incense and Candles
Burning candles and incense is not always a safe practice, especially in spaces where there are children or pets. Diffusers eliminate the risk of burns, wax spills, or any accident that can be caused by an open fire source.

Knowing all the benefits, the only step left to pick which diffuser is best for you.
