Lavender essential oil is rather well-known thanks to it’s sweet and heavenly fragrance. The oil comes from the mint family Laminaceae and is extracted through steam distillation of the flower.

Use lavender in your diffuser for congestion relief, in your bath to relax, or even by sprinkling a few drops on your pillow for relief from headaches, insomnia or stress to give you a good night’s sleep.

Bonus tip: You can also add a few drops to a carrier oil to apply on your body as an effective mosquito repellent.
